About Faye

Faye Maloney is a proud American who has dedicated her life to public service.  Faye was born in Chicago, IL.  From there, life took her on a journey that will terrify most parents.  At the age of six, she was parentally abducted by her father. She was raised believing her mother had abandoned her.

However, when she was 14, she learned her childhood, spent traversing continents, was shrouded in secrets, hiding, and constant movement to evade authorities attempting to find her.  When Maloney learned she had been parentally abducted, she made the life-altering decision to escape her father’s authority and secure her return to the United States.  It was not until she was nearly 15 when she reunited with her mother.

Faye’s exposure to various cultures and experiences as a parentally abducted child inspired her to volunteer at the local Sheriff’s department while in high school.  There, Faye developed a passion for the criminal justice system.  She then continued to study Criminal Justice at Sacramento City College and then on as an undergraduate at Kaplan University while working full-time as a 911 dispatcher.  Upon graduation, she launched into her career in law enforcement.

Faye began her career with the Sheriff’s Department in Sacramento and transferred to serve in an agency in Alameda County in 2009.  Today, she is an active law enforcement professional focused on representing and giving a voice to hidden, invisible, and overlooked populations.  Faye is a firm believer in empowering others and solving issues from a collaborative team approach.  She utilizes her trilingual skills to build bridges between the various communities she serves.  Faye is currently obtaining a master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis on Organizational Leadership and will be graduating in early 2025.

Today, Faye Maloney is proud to call Brentwood her home.  After an adverse childhood, Faye is even prouder to have raised her family in Brentwood.  She is happily married and a proud stepmom to three kids.  She loves to see her family thriving in a community she did not have the luxury to be a part of growing up.  Faye knows strong communities need to be safe, offer exceptional educational opportunities, provide economically advantageous circumstances, and provide agricultural and recreational amenities that increase the overall quality of life for residents. Maloney is committed to preserving these community assets while working to ensure smart growth for future generations to enjoy.

As a Brentwood resident, Faye has seen Brentwood grow and has experienced many challenges that a growing city invites.  Some of those core issues include a lack of infrastructure, lack of high-paying, quality, and competitive jobs, rapid increases to the cost of housing, lack of first responders, overcrowded schools, and an increase in homelessness.

Faye Maloney is running for City Council, District 1.  She is running because she knows the residents of District 1 need representation from someone who understands the challenges of the district and the community at large, but also respects the values and the history of the community and the people she represents.

Faye Maloney has a background in policy, code enforcement, and legislation and acts as an advocate and voice for people who have none.  She has spoken successfully with various representatives at the state capital and Washington DC as an advocate for victims of crime, victims of human trafficking, child abduction, and substance/drug abuse.  Faye has intimately worked with the local, county, and national representatives to decrease the impact of homelessness on communities such as Brentwood. Faye has exceptional communication and leadership skills and is committed to giving a voice to the issues and people of District 1.

Faye believes that District 1 needs to focus on a collaborative and inclusive approach to improve infrastructure for families that endure long commutes, smart growth, increased public safety, decreasing the impact of homelessness, and finding solutions for overcrowded schools while preserving the agricultural heritage and small business focus of the community.  Once elected, Faye has simple goals: represent the people of District 1 using clear data, ensure an open-door policy for resident constituents, and implement solutions to local problems.
